Late May Bank Holiday Closure

All our surgeries are closed on Monday 29th May 2023. We are also closed, as usual, at the weekend.

The Urgent Treatment Centre at Lymington New Forest Hospital is open 8am-9pm each day, 365 days a year. For further details and to see what they can treat please click here.

NHS 111 can help if you have an urgent medical problem when your GP practice is closed. Dial 111 on any phone for advice, or visit the NHS 111 website – 111.nhs.uk.

Remember to call 999  at any time in a medical emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill, or injured, and their life is at risk.

When We Are Closed

Evening and weekend appointments

As part of the NHS commitment to improve Access to Primary Care for patients, from the 1st October 2022 we are pleased to be able to offer appointments, bookable through reception, to our ‘Enhanced Access’ service. This offers GP, Nurse Practitioner, and First Contact Physiotherapy appointments from 6.30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 5pm on a Saturday. These are held at Lymington Hospital. We are also carrying out remote GP sessions from our own doctors dealing with e-consults Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8pm. We hope this helps support the ever increasing national rise in demand for appointments, and the need to access care outside normal hours.

When the surgeries are closed, the 'Out Of Hours Service' will take on the responsibility for providing health services. The service will also be available on Bank Holidays. Only contact the Out of Hours service if you have a medical problem that cannot wait until your surgery opens. This service is available by telephoning 111. The 111 service, available 24 hours a day, can also signpost you to the most appropriate local service.

NHS 111

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
